Tuberculostatic Action of Phenothiazine and Derivatives.

Phenothiazine inhibited the growth of tubercle bacilli in vitro in high dilution. In the presence of serum the bacteriostatic effect was diminished, but was still significant. Oxidized forms of phenothiazine showed moderate inhibition of growth. Other derivatives of phenothiazine exhibited low tuberculostatic action.
