Fluoroketenes IX. Functionality α to the ketene group

Abstract Three new fluoroketenes have been prepared having the acid fluoride, sulfonyl fluoride and ester functions, respectively, α to the ketene group. The synthesis and characterization of these ketenes is described, along with a convenient synthesis of trifluoromethylmalonyl fluoride.
