摘要
Polyimide matrix composites possess an excellent balance of physical and thermal properties. However, currently available systems suffer from a number of drawbacks. Much of R & D is aimed at overcoming these drawbacks and developing new and novel polyimide materials. This review paper will examine recent developments in polyimide composites in the areas of thermo-oxidative stability, resistance to microcracking, toughness, toxicity and processability.
