On the relationship between resistivity and thermo-e.m.f.

Abstract Qualitative indications are given that for a number of thermocouples the relationship between resistivity and thermo-e.m.f. is fairly simple. It is also shown that under certain conditions Mott's equation for thermo-power is directly integrable and leads to an equation for a couple of metals A and B, with junctions at T 1 T 2:
