Two new species of Schoutedenomyia Kröber from Africa (Diptera: Therevidae)

Abstract Schoutedenomyia usambarensis n.sp. and S. rhodexiensis n.sp. are described from southern Tanzania and Rhodesia, respectively. Only one male and one female specimen of each species are known. A list of the 12 species of Schoutedenomyia Kröber, 1936, now reported from tropical Africa are given. It is noted for the first time that the genus is well represented in the Oriental region.
