摘要
MXene, a new family of 2D materials with the general formula of Mn+1Xn (M being an early transition metal, and X being carbon or nitrogen) have been the focus of attention recently, showing many interesting properties. This focused article reviews some of the recent developments in this fast-growing field, in the specific topics of synthesis, electronic, magnetic, and mechanical properties of MXene compounds. It also touches upon the promising area of heterostructures formed between MXene and other 2D materials of interest, the experimental study of which has remained largely unexplored so far.
