摘要
Objective
To access the medication adherence to oral hypoglycemics among type 2 diabetes and to analyze the related influence factors.
Methods
A total of 114 patients(50 males, 64 females)with prescription of oral hypoglycemic medication were monitored with Medication Event Monitoring System(MEMS), the patients were classified into two groups based on their medication adherence levels, demographic, anthropometric and clinical biochemical data, which were compared between two groups.
Results
(1)The average adherence of these patients was(86.7±22.7)%, 31 of them(27.2%)were with low compliance; (2)Medication adherence score was correlated with age(r=0.277, P<0.01), medication adherence among smokers were lower than non-smokers significantly(P<0.05), with the increasing of dose frequency, medication adherence had the tendency to decrease(P<0.01); (3)The fasting blood glucose and diastolic blood pressure among high compliance group were lower than those in low compliance group(P<0.05), the HbA1C level in high adherence group seemed lower than that of low adherence group, but without statistical significance.
Conclusions
Age, dose frequency, and unhealthy living habits affect the medication adherence, the medication compliance also in turn affects the control of blood glucose and blood pressure among type 2 diabetes patients. Related intervention research to improve the medication adherence of type 2 diabetes needs to be performed.(Chin J Endocrinol Metab, 2015, 31: 1027-1030)
