Objective
To evaluate the efficacy of transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy(T-PRK) for the correction of refractive regression after small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE) surgery.
Methods
A retrospectively study. The data of 799 eyes of 403 patients with myopia or myopic astigmatism treated with SMILE from Jan. 2015 to Dec. 2015 were collected and analysed. After SMILE surgery 9 eyes suffered with refractive regression and they received T-PRK secondary surgery. The visual acuity, refraction and complications were observed at 1 week, 1, 3 and 6monthes after T-PRK surgery.
Results
Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) was 1.0 at 1 week after T-PRK surgery. Only 1 eye happened haze grade 0.5 after T-PRK surgery and no other complication happened.
Conclusion
T-PRK surgery for the correction of refractive regression after SMILE surgery is effective and safe.
