Influence of CaCl_2 on quality and anthracnose in postharvest apple fruit

Influence of CaCl2with different concentrations(1%,2%,5%and 10%)on the freshness of apple fruit is discussed.It is indicated that CaCl2could inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides,delay the decline in quality,and improve the resistance of apple fruit.CaCl2with 10% concentration has the best effect.This conclusion provides theoretical basis for apple's postharvest preservation with non-chemical fungicides.
