Fully Mechanized Top Coal Caving Mining Technology with Low Level Caving in Thick Seam of Yuwu Coal Mining Company

With the analysis on the No.3 seam deposit features and the site practices in Yuwu Coal Mining Company,the coal mining method and the mining technique of the fully mechanized top coal caving mining was set up for the S2205 coal mining with the selected the matched equipment.The paper pointed out that with the repeatedly supported the top coal by the powered supports,the top coal failure could be increased.With the mining face inclined length increased,the initial mining coal lost,end mining coal lost and face end coal lost could be reduced.The coal mining recovery rate of the coal mining face was improved with the single round interval top coal caving method,the top coal caving step distance of 0.8 m set for the coal mining face and other effective access.Meanwhile,a series of the safety protection technical measures was applied to control the gas in the coal mining face,prevent the seam spontaneous combustion and obviously reduce the coal dust in the coal mining face,which could ensure the safety and high efficient mining of the coal mining face.
