The Development and Application of CMOS Image Sensor Technology

The development of CMOS Image Sensor and deficiencies in CMOS APS's properties are introduced. Then the new technologies of CMOS APS are described. How to improve the performance of CMOS APS by high fill factor technology and direct image sensor technology is set forth in detail, and the applications of these two technologies are described. Finally it forecasts that there is a long-term competition between CMOS image sensor and CCD image sensor.
