Reliability and validity of Chinese version of evidence-based pratice belief and implementation scale

Objective To translate the English version of evidence-based pratice belief and implementation scale into Chinese,and to test its reliability and validity among nurses in China.Methods The English version of EBP belief and implementation scale was translated,revised,and used to investigate 330 nursesto test the reliability and validity.Results The Chinese version included EBP belief scale and EBP implementation scale.The EBP belief scale consisted of 16 items,three factors were extracted.The correlated coefficients between items and their subscales ranged from 0.629 to 0.870.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale was 0.895.In the EBP implementation scale,there were 18 items and two factors were extracted.The correlated coefficients between items and their subscales ranged from 0.795 to 0.997.The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.972.Conclusion The revised Chinese version of EBP belief and implementation scale is reliable and valid to assess nursing staff's level of EBP belief and implementation.
