A macrocyclic-mediated antitumor nanoplatform was successfully constructed from folic acid (FA)-modified β-cyclodextrin, photoreactive diazonaphthoquinone-grafted metal-organic framework doped with gold nanoparticles, and anticancer drug emodin via multivalent interactions, endowing it with NIR-light-boosted photothermal and chemotherapy capabilities, and achieving an "AND"- logic-gated targeted anticancer treatment.
