摘要
The tunable pore structures and adjustable chemical properties of stimuli-responsive metal–organic frameworks (SRMOFs) provide a powerful platform for designing various stimuli-responsive membrane materials for high performance in separations. This Review mainly emphasizes recent progress on SRMOF membranes in gas, ion, and liquid separations. In detail, three main construction methods for developing these materials are introduced: responsive unit loading, pendant group functionalization, and backbone functionalization. Furthermore, strategies for integrating these SRMOFs into membranes and their separation applications are discussed. Finally, the challenges and prospects of SRMOF membranes are proposed with the hope of providing insightful guidance for the next generation of smart separation membrane materials.
