Abstract The efficient decomposition of phosphate rock in wet phosphoric acid process is the key to improve the utilization of phosphorus resources. However, the leaching of associated elements into the slurry can affect the quality of downstream products, and increase the energy consumption. In this study, the leaching behavior of associated elements and reaction mechanism in wet-process phosphoric acid were explored. Single-factor test indicated that higher concentration of phosphoric acid and liquid-solid ratio could increase the leaching efficiency of P and associated elements, while excessive temperatures and longer leaching time were not beneficial to the decomposition of phosphate rock. |
