说明 An electrochemical hydrogenation of α,β unsaturated carbonyls using an iron anode and methanol as the sole hydrogen source selectively reduces C=C/C≡C bonds over C=O and C–X groups, affording saturated ketones in 73–96% yields. Deuterium labeling and DFT studies confirm the radical mechanism and proton source, providing a green, cost effective route to deuterated compounds.
