The reaction of peroxide radicals of the (CH/sub 3/)/sub 3/CO/sub 2/ and or CH/sub 3/O/sub 2/ type with the products of the decomposition of tertiary butyl hydroperoxide on the surface of the metalloporphyrin catalyst copper coproporphyrin (CuCP) was studied by the method of kinetically freezing out the radicals in conjunction with EPR measurements. It was shown that in the case of (CH/sub 3/)/sub 3/CO/sub 2/ radicals, di-tert-butyl peroxide is formed on the catalyst. In the case of CH/sub 3/O/sub 2/ radicals, it is suggested on the basis of the chromatographic analytical data that dimethyl peroxide is formed. The temperature dependence of the peroxide radical concentration was studied. It was shown that the rate of destruction of (CH/sub 3/)/sub 3/CO/sub 2/ radicals is less than the rate of destruction of CH/sub 3/O/sub 2/ radicals.
