Preparation of One Structural Isomer of Tetra-substituted Phthalocyanine, 1,8,15,22-Tetra(3′-pentoxy)phthalocyanine, and a Crystal Structure of Its Nickel(II) Complex

Abstract The selective preparation of 1,8,15,22-tetra(3′-pentoxy)phthalocyanine from 3-(3′-pentoxy)-1,2-dicyanobenzene was carried out. Its nickel(II) complex was obtained from the phthalocyanine and nickel(II) chloride, and a crystal structure of the complex was determined by an X-ray analysis.
