Visible‐light‐promoted Cascade Reaction of Acryloylbenzamides with Carboxylic Acids: Metal‐free Synthesis of Isoquinolinediones

Abstract A metal‐free and mild cascade reaction of acryloylbenzamides with carboxylic acids and α‐imino oxy acid is developed. It undergoes decarboxylation, radical addition, and intramolecular cyclization in the presence of visible light, providing 4‐substituted‐isoquinoline‐1,3(2H,4H)‐diones in moderate to good yields.
