Embryonic Development of Rhinogobius cliffordpopei

The embryonic developments of Rhinogobius cliffordpopei were observed,and the morphological features and times of the development phases were discribed in detail in this paper.Under the water temperature 23.7～26.1℃,it took 59 hours and 28 minutes from fertilization to hatching with the cumulative temperature of 1480.7℃.The embryonic development process could be divided into 6 stages,including fertilized egg stage,cell division stage,blastula stage,gastrula stage,neurula stage and organ formation stage,and contained 33 developing phases as other teleost.The rate of hatching was about 50%.The mean length of newly hatched larva was 3.61 mm.
