Rotation Characteristics of an Eccentric Elastic Shaft with Resistance on Its End

This paper treats the rotation characteristics of an eccentric elastic shaft which has influence of fluid resistance upon its end. It is found theoretically that a shaft with shaft eccentricity deforms helically and a shaft with mass eccentricity deforms in a plane. As an example of practical cases, an experiment of a mixer is worked and a good agreement of experimental with theoretical results is obtained.
