Competitive Situation of Smart TV Remote Control Technologies Based on Patent Analysis

The profile of international patents of four types of smart TV remote control technologies is searched based on Thomson Innovation patent database,the overall development trends,four type technology development situation,geographic distributions,main innovative institutes and comprehensive competitiveness is analyzed by TDA and Innography patent analysis tools,and patent maps are also drawn.It is found that remote control technologies of smart TV havebeen entered the mature period,and two mainstream technical directionis formed;Japan,US,China,South Korea are the main source countries of patent;half of the main innovation institutes is Japanese enterprises;the comprehensive competitiveness of Samsung Electronics is strongest,Panasonic,Sony,Sharp,UEI also have competitive advantage.
