Six species of powdery mildew fungi growing on leaves of different host plants in vitro were chosen as the host fungi and were tested for the pathogenicity of 49 isolates of Ampelomyces quisqualis(AQ).The results indicated that these AQ isolates expressed significant differentiation in pathogencity, and it was related to host fungi and host plants but had little relation to geographical distribution. It was also found that AQ isolates exhibited certain host specificity.
