Comment on the People’s Intermediation and Its Functions and Effects in New Countryside Construction

The people's intermediation is an important law and regulation,which is used by the people for self- education, self- management,self- service and resolving inner contradictions. People's Intermediation Committee is a basic autonomous organization,which major task is to mediate disputes in the mass as well as advocating laws,regulations and policies,and educating citizens to abide by them and observe other public practices and customs. Different from administration intermediation, court intermediation, and arbitration intermediation, etc, the people's intermediation will surely have unique functions and effects in New Countryside Construction with the characteristics and advantages of being simple, rapid, economical and harmonious, and resolving disputes, preventing disputes and advocating laws as its functions.
