The mechanism of plant roots reinforcement on soil

Plant roots play an important role in slope vegetation and stability. Basis on the years of research,this paper first explored the concept and range of roots reinforcement on soil,and then systematically expounded shear mechanism, drawing mechanism,stiffened theory. Moreover,the related influence factors were summarized into two types and the numerical simulation were also reviewed. At last,this paper analyzed the shortcomings in current research and the forward further study in the future.
