[Objective]To investigate the residue level of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in foodstuff in Tangshan City. [Methods] According to topographic features of Tangshan City's grain-producing areas-Fengrun district and Fengnan district, 10 sampling points were selected. 3 kinds of foodstuff (wheat, peanut, corn) were detected for residues of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides by using the NC-800 pesticide residue tester. [ Results] The detection rate of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides residues in wheat, peanuts and corn was 100%. The residue level of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in wheat was higher than that in flour (P﹤0.001). The residue level of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in corn residues was higher than that in corn kernels (P=0.003). The residue level of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in the same foodstuff was almost similar between Fengrun district and Fengnan district. [Conclusion] The residue levels of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in wheat, peanuts, and corn of Tangshan City are under the standard level. The residue levels of organophosphate and carbamate pesticides in the same foodstuff are almost similar between Fen-grun district and Fengnan district.
