Metal-free nitrogen and boron co-doped carbon catalysts for transfer hydrodeoxygenation of biomass: a model compound study

A thorough investigation was carried out into the N–B synergistic effect and surface electron transfer in N and B co-doped carbon-based catalysts, which were successfully applied to the catalytic conversion of biomass.
