As a class of heterocyclic compounds, 1,3,5-Triazines have a wide range of applications in degradable materials, drug synthesis, fluorescent dyes, etc. In this paper, donor-acceptor, π-conjugated 1,3,5-triazine dyes (TzAr-R) were successfully synthesized from 1,3,5-triazine and benzaldehyde derivatives, and their photophysical properties were studied. On this basis, two typical probes (TzAr-OH and TzAr-NapOH) were selected for in-depth study, and found to have the advantages of pH resistance, high selectivity, good viscosity response and low cytotoxicity. Furthermore, TzAr-OH and TzAr-NapOH exhibited excellent performance in cell viscosity detection and monitoring liquid food spoilage, indicating that the probes could be used as powerful imaging tools in the fields of biomedicine and food safety detection.
