摘要
With emerging climate-change concerns coupled with increased global-energy demand, eventually, the world needs to move to low-carbon-emission electricity-generating sources such as nuclear power, hydro, wind, geothermal, solar, and tidal. Nuclear power is the only source, which is reliable, concentrated, and can be of large installed capacity and operate with high assured capacity factors. This chapter presents the current status and future trends in the world nuclear-power industry. This chapter is a logical continuation of Chapter 1.1.
