摘要
ABSTRACTThis review provides a comprehensive analysis of the book written by Altman Yuzhu Peng, which book emerges from a feminist perspective and addresses the need for scholarship that facilitates the development of transcultural gendered understandings in China’s digital age. The review begins with a summary of the book's focus and structure, followed by key findings and arguments in each chapter, such as contexts for understanding the Chinese digital public sphere, pseudo-feminism, and gender debates. It concludes by assessing the book's significance of the gender-politics axis in feminist studies and highlighting the techno-feminist angle for future research.KEYWORDS: Feminismdigital public spheregender-politics axissocial mediaChina Disclosure statementNo potential conflict of interest was reported by the author.Additional informationNotes on contributorsXin LiXin Li is studying for a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising at the Department of Communication, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, China.
