Clean and economic synthesis of N -sulfonyl isothioureas from isocyanides, sulfonamides and disulfides

An electrochemical three-component reaction of isocyanides, sulfonamides and disulfides is developed, in which a rare N-to-N [1,3]-H shift occurs. This is a highly efficient and cost-effective method for synthesizing N -sulfonyl isothioureas.
