Synthesis of Pentaerythritol Oleic Acid Ester

Pentaerythritol oleic acid ester was prepared through the esterification of pentaerythritol with o-leic acid. In the experiment, effects of material proportion, catalyst dosage, reaction time, reaction temperature had been studied. The optimum reaction conditions were that n(pentaerythritol): n(oleic acid) = 1 : 4, with a kind of metal powder as catalyst and its dosage being 0. 5% of oleic acid mass,reaction temperature was 210-220℃ ,the yield of the ester was over 95% within 4 h. The product obtained could be used directly.
