Comprehensive appraisement on intercity railway passenger transportation

This paper analyses the current development of intercity passenger transportation, sums up various factors for evaluating system of intercity passenger transportation, and sets up indices system for that. Furthermore, by using AHP, the paper constructs an evaluating model for system performance of intercity passenger transportation. The results obtained from experts' evaluation demonstrate the great necessity and feasibility of intercity railway passenger transportation, and show that the construction of the forth rail line between Guangzhou and Shenzhen is the best project.
