[Objective] The pathogenic Escherichia coli in musk deer was classified at molecular level to provide basic materials for molecular epidemiology of pathogenic Escherichia coli in musk deer.[Method] The Lysis Triton method was used to extract plasmids from 24 pathogenic Escherichia coli in musk deer, then HindⅢ,EcoRⅠ and BamHⅠ were used to conduct endo on plasmids.[Result] The yield rate of plasmid was 91.6% and 24 pathogenic Escherichia coli in musk deer had the same or similar plasmid profile.[Conclusion] The plasmid DNA analysis provided scientific bases for molecular epidemiology,of pathogenic Escherichia coli in musk deer.
