Objective:To use PCR and denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography to identify Bacillus cereus rapidly. Methods:Primers for specific PCR amplification were designed based on the published sequence of the gyrB gene of Bacillus cereus. Then its specificity, sensitivity and stability were examined. Results:Using this method to detect Bacillus cereus and other Bacteriaes of Pseudomonas, only Bacillus cereus can be detected, and as little as 10 cfu/ml of Bacillus cereus can be detected. Conclusion:A PCR-DHPLC assay amplification targeting at the gyrB gene of bacillus cereus is a rapid, specific, sensitive and relatively simple method for the identification of bacillus cereus.
