Objective:To investigate the operative effect, indications and surgical technique of laparoscopic myomectomy in women with cervical leiomyoma. Methods:A retrospective review was carried out on 36 patients with cervical leiomyoma who underwent laparoscopic myomectomy. Results:All cases were performed with myomectomy under laparoscopy. The size of dominant uterine myomas ranged from 3-10cm(means 5.7cm).Mean operation time was(86.8±46.75)min and mean blood loss was(66.6±35.5)ml.Longer operation time and more blood loss were observed in patients with uterine myomas≥5cm than those with uterine myomas5cm(P0.01).All patients with symptoms showed remission of their complaints after operating. Conclusions:Laparoscopic myomectomy for cervical leiomyoma is safe and feasible.Selecting the indication and expert operating skills are the key to operation success.
