The effects of wheat, pea, and artificial diet on the activity of carboxylesterase, glutathione S transferase and acetylcholinesterase in Helicoverpa armigera were studied. The results showed that carboxylesterase in cotton boolworm fed on different host plants had not only quanlitative diffence, but also qualitative discrepancy, and host plants exerted significant influence on the activity of glutathione S transferasee and acetylcholinesterase in Helicoverpa armigera.
