The anchor zone of stay cables is a critical part that governs the design of cable-stayed bridge,and special efforts have been made to analyze and study the parts of lots of long span cable-stayed bridges at home and abroad.With reference to the practical bridge examples,this paper describes the commonly-used connecting types,structural features,finite element calculations and static load and fatigue load test methods for the anchor structure of long span steel box girder cable-stayed bridge,analyzes the force transmitting mechanism and stress concentration phenomenon of four types of the anchor structures,gives the measures for rational transmission of the forces and reduction of the stress concentration and also clarifies the problems to which attention should be paid in the design.
