This article reports the micro/nano single crystals of 2ZnO·2B2O3·3H2O, which were synthesized on a large scale at relatively low temperature (150°C) within 3 h and fully characterized via X‐ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma with atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP‐AES), Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and selected area electron diffraction (SAED). These crystals were demonstrated monodisperse with about 500 nm particle size and their morphologies were rhombohedral. The currently synthetic strategy has been proved to be effective for plentiful zinc borate single crystals, hopefully giving a new facile methodology for the preparation of large‐scale single crystals. Moreover, the growth mechanism is briefly discussed and the effect of char promotion of 2ZnO·2B2O3·3H2O micro/nano single crystals in polypropylene has also been studied.
