The authors analyzed the approach to implement a self-contained generator based on an induction motor with a wound rotor with connection of a stator circuit to the load and with the power supply of rotor windings from a regulated source of alternating current. The article provides a diagram for the power balance in the generator set and defines the boundaries of a sustainable electricity generation. The authors carried out experimental research which confirmed the data obtained during the simulation. The zones of the generator effective operation are determined.
