摘要
This paper presents a GaN power FET based flyback AC-DC converter using a multi-mode primary-side controller (PSC) chip. The PSC chip employs quasi-resonance based multimode control, which effectively improves the converter's efficiency and reduces its standby power consumption. Meanwhile, the detection functions in the chip are implemented with simple circuits, effectively reducing the chip area and lowering the system cost. On the built 48W test prototype, the flyback converter achieves a peak efficiency of 92.65%.
