Determination of nitrate and nitrite in arack by ion chromatography

A rapid and simple metod for determination of nitrate and nitrite in arack by ion chromatography with conductivity detector was studied. A solution containing 2.8 mmol/L NaHCO 3 2.2 mmol/L Na 2CO 3 was used as eluate on a Dionex HPIC AS 3 column. The linear range for the determination of nitrate and nitrite are 0 5～80 and 0 1～20 mg/L with detection limits of 0 5 and 0 1 mg/L, respectively. This method could also be used for determination of sulfate and chloride in arack.
