Objective: To explore the effects of soluble multi-peptide agent, marked “Gu Kang Tai Lin”, derived from bone tissue on rat bone fracture healing. Methods: Radius fracture of 48 female rats were produced. Then they were divided randomly into 2 groups: Gu Kang Tai Lin group and Model group. After 24 th hours of operation they were intramuscularly injected medicine. Six rats in each group were killed on the 7, 14, 28, 42 th day after operation to observe the radiographic findings, bone mineral density (BMD) measurements and histological changes of the fractural ends. Results: Radiographic findings, bone mineral density (BMD) measurements and histological changes of the fractural ends in group with Gu Kang Tai Lin injection were better than those in model group. Conclusions: The “Gu Kang Tai Lin” injection strongly accelerate rat fracture healing and improve the quality of healing.
