Objective To explore the morphologic characteristics of the complex female pelvic floor functional diseases and to evaluate the value of simultaneous combined pelvic organography in diagnosing the complex female pelvic floor functional diseases. Methods Simultaneous combined pelvic organography, including cystourethrography, peritoneography, colpography, and defecography, was used to examine 30 women with complex pelvic floor disorders and to observe the abnormal morphological characteristics of the pelvic floor, including pelvic organ prolapse and pathological changes of the pelvic floor. Results Patients with complex pelvic floor functional diseases had multiple clinical symptoms (mostly 4 kinds) and multiple pelvic floor pathological changes (mostly 5 kinds, and few 1-2 kinds). A high concurrence was found between the morphologic characteristics of the pelvic floor and the clinical manifestations in female patients with complex pelvic floor functional diseases. Conclusion Female complex pelvic floor functional diseases often display multiple pelvic organ prolapses and pathological changes of the pelvic floor. Simultaneous combined pelvic organography is helpful to provide more accurate and across the board diagnosis of patients with complex pelvic floor functional diseases.
