Radiation Dose and Radiation Reaction in the Vaginal Smear in Carcinoma of the Uterine Cervix

No significant correlation could be proved between the radiation dose in the bladder and the radiation reaction in the vaginal smear, although the reaction varied with the dose in the rectum, and with rising age and decreasing hormonal activity in the smear. This does not prove, however, that the radiation reaction in the vaginal smear is dependent on the radiation dose. (P.C.H.)
