Improving the quality of football referee through video- based training strategy

As one of the most popular sports in the world, referees play a very important role in every football match, for that we need a method that can improve the quality of soccer referees. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of video-based training strategies on improving the quality of football referees. This study used an experimental method involving 40 referees who were divided into experimental and control groups. The age of the sample in this study was 20-40 years with experience between 2-10 years. Before receiving treatment for the video-based training strategy, all samples performed a pre-test to demonstrate their performance in a soccer match. Both the control group and the experimental group will receive 12 exercises. The results show that the application of video-based training strategies can improve the quality of referees. With this training strategy, mistakes made by referees can be analyzed. The importance of media in every training or learning process as a tool to stimulate student or athlete learning. This shows that the variation given in the use of video technology media can improve the quality of football referees.
