Efficient synthesis of new isopavine alkaloids derived from (–)-reframidine and evaluation of their anti-proliferative effect against gastric cancer cells

in particular, were found to provide anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic activity against gastric cancer cells, which broadened the bioactivities beyond the traditional pharmacological neuroprotective properties of this kind of natural products.
