摘要
Two-dimensional (2D) materials have aroused increasing attention in the fields of photonics, electronics, and optoelectronics due to their intriguing physical properties. The controllable preparation of 2D materials is the precondition for exploring their novel properties and potential applications. Over the past two decades, great effects have been devoted to the preparation of 2D materials, and a series of preparation techniques were developed. In this chapter, we will introduce the recently developed preparation approaches for 2D materials, including two top-down approaches (mechanical exfoliation and liquid-phase exfoliation) and one bottom-up approach (chemical vapor deposition). We give more space to introduce the single crystal growth, thickness control, and phase control via chemical vapor deposition of 2D materials. We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of each approach in detail and demonstrated the perspectives of their future development direction. With the further development of the 2D materials preparation technique, more 2D nonlinear optical materials would be discovered for application in the field of photonics and optoelectronics.
