摘要
Interest in the therapeutic potential of probiotics in inflammatory diseases is increasing.1 However, studies using probiotics for asthma treatment have been inconclusive, providing insufficient evidence to affect clinical practice. Bifidobacterium infantis (B. infantis) 35624 treatment has been studied in inflammatory gastrointestinal disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis.2,3 Recent evidence indicates that B. infantis 35624 treatment can inhibit the secretion of interleukin-4 and interleukin-13 while enhancing tolerogenic dendritic cells and regulatory T (Treg) cells in vitro.
