Myocardial dysfunction is a well-recognized manifestation of multiple organ dysfunction in sepsis.Although the underlying mechanisms of myocardial dysfunction during sepsis have been studied for more than 5 decades,the detailed pathophysiology of sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction still remains unclear.The underlying mechanisms of myocardial dysfunction include mitochondrial dysfunction,circulating myocardial depressant factor,impaired calcium balance and etc.
